Todmorden
Cattle Company (T.C.C.) has various classes and breeds of
cattle available for sale each year. However seasonal conditions
do dictate the availability of particular classes of cattle
which are for sale. Most of the cattle which are for sale
are Poll Hereford, but we do market some Grey Brahmans,
Greymans (Murray Grey Brahman cross) and Charbrays (Charolais
Brahman cross)
Cattle
sales are available at Todmorden Station, via Oodnadatta
or at Glengarry, Snowtown. At times there is also an opportunity
to purchase Todmorden Station cattle by auction at the Dublin
Livestock Exchange, Dublin, S.A.
T.C.C.
cattle have also been sold through Auction Plus (A computer
aided livestock marketing system). Check for any listings
www.auctionplus.com.au
Due
to transportation costs, it is preferable to purchase Road
Train consignments (4 decks) from Todmorden Station, or
at the very least a Semi Trailer load (2 decks). Normally
we sell “on property”, which means the purchaser
pays all costs ex property, including transportation. T.C.C.
uses a preferred livestock transport company which we can
recommend. Cattle are sold either on a per kilogram live
weight basis or if with cows and calves, on a per unit basis.

At
our Snowtown properties smaller groups are available for
sale, with half decks (body trucks) being the minimum. Cattle
is sold at the Snowtown properties is on the same basis
as Todmorden Station, but arrangements can be made to use
our truck for local deliveries.
Purchases
can be made by contacting your preferred Stock and Station
agency, Landmark an AWB
Company or Elders
Ltd. Todmorden Cattle Company welcomes Direct Sales
as well and invites any intending purchaser to submit an
“Expression
of Interest” for the purchase of cattle.
